-        Second Life? Add onto presentation, presentation should have screenshots, proof that you played a video game, 5 min presentation 

-        2045: Columbus, Ohio

-        Everything is electronic: pizza delivery done by a drone, everyone has virtual reality headsets on 

-        People stopped trying to fix problems they just wanted to outlive them 

-        James Halliday gave people a place to go (the Oasis) a place to go without ever going anywhere really, the only limit is the one you create, people go to the oasis to escape but they stay because of who they can be 

-        The oasis is the place to meet people 

-        Wade met Aech his best friend in the oasis but yet they have never met in real life

-        First Oasis was created in 2025 

-        Star Teek church when Halliday died 

-        Halliday created 3 keys in in order to open the way to find his easter egg hidden somewhere within the game 

o    Winner wins his shares (1/2 a trillion dollars and complete control of the game)

o    The sixers were a company created order to find the easter eggs, their main goal and purpose in the Oasis was the find the east egg 

-        Wade like Art3mis 

-        One of the ways to get a key is in an impossible race, (car race) set up with impossible obstacles (ex: Kong the Gorilla) 

-        “Gunter” those who tried to get to the keys not with the sixers 

o    Egg hunter=gunting 

-        Wade’s parents died, so he lives with his Aunt but the game is his escape from the reality from his life , “his tiny corner of nothing”

-        Halliday archived his entire life, so people can look back and use his life and memories to help them find the eggs

-        Parzival =Wade 

-        Charlie and the Chocolate factory reference and connection 

-        Kira(gamer tag)/Karen Underwood (Her real name) Morrow’s wife, she went on a date with Halliday before she became Morrow’s wife 

-        Wade wants to meet the real Art3mis

o    He said his real name 

o    He tells Art3mis he is in love with her 

o    She tells him that she doesn’t know the reality 

o    She tells him that she lies in the real world and all he ever lives in is this illusion 

-        Sorrento blew up Wade’s home

-        Art3mis and Wade meet in the real world 

o    She brings them to the rebellion 

o    Art3mis=Samantha

-        The 2nd key is found in the Shining movie

Futuristic Fashion Show

I chose to make my "Futuristic Clothing Item" out of plastic bags to show that something as simple as a plastic bag can be turned into something as complex as clothing. We see and use plastic bags all of the time; when we go shopping, for garbage, for food, etc. However, it is always overlooked how these simple items can be so versatile if you just put in the time and effort.  I started by looking up inspiration for my dress; I knew I wanted to make it out of plastic, but I wasn't exactly sure what kind of pattern I wanted—then I took about 25-35 target plastic bags and cut them into thin strands. Then I knotted all those strands together and cut off the excess to try and make it look as clean as possible. Then I proceeded to weave this into a big rectangular shape and continued with this until it was big enough to be a dress. I left a good amount of excess bag to fit the dress onto myself. Then I cut up a Trader Joe's holiday bag to get the red straps that I used for

Final Project Process

 We were at a loss at first regarding the final project. We were still determining where to begin because, up until this point, we had instructions to follow and help guide us, but we were on our own for this one. To begin, we had to decide on a movie. We were between three options, but the one we chose fit the criteria better than the others. We were between ET, The Martian, and Arrival.  We decided on Arrival because there was much more to unpack with this movie and more we could analyze after we determined the film; we had to figure out the direction we wanted to go with the project itself. So we drew up a diagram of what we wanted our poster board to model after.  Then we met and started planning it all out.  However, once we started putting all the pictures together, we felt something needed to be added to the poster.
